Religion Information Paper Buddhism The founder of Buddidism is know to be a Prince called Siddhartha Gautama, he was born in North India. He was the son of King Suddhodanna and Queen Maha Maya Devi. The young man was given the name Prince Siddhartha Gautama. As soon as the prince was born there was prediction on whether he would become a Buddah or a world leader, no one knew as it could have been either. He was born into a very rich family and everything was done for him, however his father never let him in contact with real life as he didn’t want him to experience the true nature of life yet, he only saw the greater life with no worries or concerns. However the Prince married Princess Yasodhara and had a son, who was called Rahula.†¦show more content†¦The religion is known to be originated in northern India around the 5th century B.C.E Key leaders and philposopers in keeping the religion going or advancing are Nagarjuna he is referred to as the second Buddha by Tibetan and East Asian Mahayana such major traditions of Buddhism, Nagarjuna is know to be sharp criticisms of Brahminical and Buddhists famous philosophy, theory of knowledge, and long approaches to practice. Next Shantideva, like Buddha Shakyamuni, was born into a wealthy family and was known to rule in the future. Manjushri, a person of wisdom, and Tara, a divine embodiment of compassion, both only were in their dreams about ruling and taking the thrones. He then fled from his father’s kingdom, into the wilderness, and dedicated himself to meditation. Then finally Je Tsong Khapa he was famous scholar who reformed the Kadampa, creating the new Gelugpa know to be the Yellow Hats, which was to become the most powerful in the area, eventually he changed Mongolia and all other Himalayan kingdoms to Tibetan Buddhism like he wanted to. The religion is c ommonly misunderstood for various reasons, mainly the teachings. After listening to a some of then phrases, they may start to explain to the others in their own way. There are some explanations people tell, may not be accurate teachings of the Buddha. â€Å"The most common misunderstandings are about the teachings: life is suffering, out-worldly and emptiness.
